This article covers both the officially licensed SilencerCo Maxim 9 and the KRISS Vector SMG GBB.
Both airsoft guns are powered by standard airsoft Green Gas that is charged directly into the magazine. Magazines using standard disposable 12g CO2 cartridges are also available.
Airsoft Green Gas is available for purchase through your local KRYTAC dealer. 12g CO2 cartridges are available at your local KRYTAC dealer or most sporting goods stores.
Magazine Compatibility
Maxim 9 and Vector SMG GBB magazines are not interchangeable. The KRYTAC Maxim 9 is modeled after the real Maxim 9 firearm which is chambered in 9mm. The KRYTAC Vector SMG GBB is modeled after the real KRISS Vector SMG chambered in .45 ACP.
KRYTAC cannot guarantee fitment and performance with non-KRYTAC magazines.
Important Safety Notes
Charge green gas magazines in a well-ventilated area, away from ignition sources and flame.
Avoid exposing charged magazines to direct sunlight or high temperatures which may cause the magazines to burst if overheated.
Discharge all green gas and CO2 from magazines before storage. Avoid contact with discharged gas to prevent cold burns.
Store green gas canisters and CO2 cartridges in a cool, dry place.
Performance Notes
Magazines will cool down while in use, particularly when rapidly firing long strings of fire, resulting in reduced performance. To prevent magazine temperature from dropping below operational range, we recommend avoiding long string of rapid fire whenever possible, and to allow magazines to warm up.
Ambient temperature will also influence performance results. In colder environments, use gas rated for higher pressure or cold temperature.
Charging Magazine with Green Gas - Maxim 9 & Vector
Locate the charging valve on the back of the magazine.
Insert the tip of the Green Gas canister down into the charging valve and press it into the valve.
Note: It is important that the canister is pointed straight down into the magazine as you want to charge the magazine with the liquid from the canister.
You will hear a slight hissing as the magazine is charged. Once the magazine is charged, remove the Green Gas canister. You can't overfill the magazine so don't worry about charging it longer than required, but it should take no more than ten seconds.
Charging Magazine with CO2 - Maxim 9

Insert a 12g non-threaded CO2 cartridge into the magazine, base first.
Turn the 6mm allen key clockwise to raise the cradle.
The CO2 cart will begin to "hiss" as it is punctured; continue to turn the allen key until snug to ensure a good seal on the cartridge.
